Tina - Sorry that I didn't answer sooner. Just thought that I'd let you know that the Paxil can increase anxiety in the first 2 to 4 weeks (you may already be starting to experience this at the time of this posting). This is totally normal and the anti-anxiety effects will start to kick in at about the 6 to 8 week mark (& you will probably see an increase in anti-anxiety effect, as you stay on the med).
•Word of Warning - Incidious Weight Gain•
It may be a good idea to keep a food diary of everything you eat. Also, get out and exercise. It is far easier to keep the weight from being put on than it is to take it off, once gained. The weight gain with Paxil seems to be more incidious, as you will not notice it for 4 to 6 months; and then you realize that your clothes don't fit. This seems to happen overnight in most people, but when a history is done, most people have changed their eating habits (eg more Big Macs, more Doritos, more salty snacks, than they usually have).I hope that you are doing okay. Hang in there babe, and keep us posted on your progress. - Cam
