I had not taken any anti-depressent for about 6 weeks prior to my wellbutrin treatment. Has anyone elese noticed an increase in depression?

Dear LostOne,

Wellbutrin can make depression worse.

On several different trials of Wellbutrin, I experienced a moderate exacerbation of my depression. I can think of at least one other person for whom this has also been the case.

I can't think of a single antidepressant that has not made someone's depression worse. We are putting in our bodies powerful chemicals that's properties we don't fully understand into a biological system of which we know so little and understand even less. A drug that helps one person can hurt another. Why?????...

I am not saying that Wellbutrin has made *your* depression worse. I am just responding to your question.
