Hi Jimmy.I have been taking Zyprexa for about a week. I find that I have periods during the day in which I get very sleepy. However, I do not feel sedated or tranquilized. Supposedly, this episodic sleepiness goes away after a week or two. I am taking it for depression, and I have found it to be partially effective when combined with the antidepressants that I am currently taking. It really should help with negative and ruminating thinking. Many people feel as if they begin to think more clearly with Zyprexa.
I am not worried about EPS or tardive dyskinisia. The incidence of such things is remarkably low with Zyprexa. I don't suffer from extreme anxiety, so I can't attest to its usefullness for that. I am currently taking 5.0mg.
