If you are going to no meds at all. it should be done quite gradually... probably over a 2 month time period. not the same as stopping a med with the plan to go to another one.

Your brain has to re-adjust to the imbalance created by loss of the med effect. your goal is for the brain to adjust to the no med state with the same neurotransmitter balance that you had while on the med.

another point... it may be good to have several weeks at a quite low level, like 5 to 10 mg every other day for the last 3 weeks or so.

remember that empiric information based on starting meds suggest that the adaption time of the brain to new transmitter levels is about 3 to 4 weeks.
