Trazadone [Dyserel] is generally given for insomnia/sleep problems. Are you taking this at bedtime when it should be taken? It is not considered a very good antidepressant by many pdocs, but good for insomnia. Most meds have side effects at the beginning. My girlfriend takes trazadone at night [she is on Prozac for years] and the trazadone works very well to counteract insomnia. If you have anxiety and depression, perhaps a different AD would be beneficial. [Just my opinion]
Joy> I recently starting taking trazadone for anxiety and depression and am having trouble waking up after 5 or 6 hours of sleep with a pounding heart and insomnia. Also, it makes me feel numb all over and kind of intoxicated. Does anyone else have this problem? My doctor says to stay on it and these side effects should subside. What is your opinion
