Glyn,
This is a good example of how threads on this board evolve. Something said at the beginning can be referred to in the middle, and so people still talk about it at the end.Plus, not all people read all posts. My computer is incredibly slow at this point, so if I see a response to something I wrote, or for various other reasons, I will read those posts. I've also been out of town for 3 days.
Please don't worry about this evolution. After your first post, or maybe second, it's pretty much out of your hands. And, it's not personal against you because mainly we talk about our own issues in light of what you wrote.
If you were going to be attacked for what you wrote there would be a giant brouhaha, with posts flying in all directions. You would know for sure you'd been gigged, and many people would stand in your defense.
The point is you sparked a thought-provoking discussion, and if you want to re-frame something, I recommend making your subject line something like "Reframing Morbid Fasciniation" or "Morbid Fascination-I take it back" (meant humorusly). People will then be able to see your alternate definition, or whatever.
Keep posting. You did strike a nerve with some, and there's nothing wrong with that. This is Psycho Babble, not Remember Your Manners or Let's Talk Only About Nice, Non-controversial Things Babble.....
Good luck!
Shar
