paxil and celexa and side effects

Posted by hello on October 5, 2000, at 22:20:10

I'm new to antidepressants: I tried Paxil for a month and felt heavily sedated all the time, but my insomnia got worse. Now I am on Celexa, but I'm scared I'm going to keep having short term memory problems, start sweating, and/ or continue the extreme lack of sex drive. Paxil also made me extremely antisocial, and yawn (the same way coke or ecstasy makes your jaw tense ) This sucks. Any advice?
I used to occasionally take E or coke (as a fun party thing) will this kill me on celexa? I am careful and drink water and "club responsibly" (by occasionally I mean once or twice a month)

At least with street drugs I know what to expect and can plan accordingly. On anti-depressants I feel awful all the time. Is it too early to be making these judgements? Do I need to give up occasional drug use (I've lost all interest in sex)? I'd like some feedback from people who've experienced this sort of thing. Any advice on non- drug treatments for anxiety and mild depression?
