Metronidazole @ inducing depression/Sunnely

Posted by Anna P. on September 1, 2000, at 14:42:53

Sunnely, please help. I need to go through a trial of Metronidazole
for my infection. I had it previously, and it induces in me depression
after the very first doze (500 mg). My Pdoc has confirmed that it causes depression,
however he didn't say what can be done to reverse that process.
In my research I found that Metronidazole causes depletion of neccesary amines in the brain.
Are there any supplements I can take during that time?
I can barely survive now with the help of my antidepressants, so it's going to be a disaster.
P.S. I truly appreciate your help in my previous threads.

Anna P.
