I'm wondering if it was my post you saw, but I, too, had a very strong anti-depressant reaction to hydrocodone. The negatives are it is very difficult to find an MD that will prescribe it for you in that capacity, mainly because it is illegal to do so. You can go to Mexico and get a physician to prescribe it for you and there are sites on the web that will lead you to pharmacies that are willing to do so. The negatives: it will take an increasing amount (you WILL build tolerance) of hydrocodone to get this effect, which means dr. shopping, etc. There comes a point when it actually worsens the depression, I don't know if it's guilt or because it is a CNS depressant, not unlike alcohol in this respect- which starts out making you feel good but then turns on you. As you can see, I am speaking from experience, but I know when I was 18, no one could tell me anything, and I always had to learn through experience. Twenty years later, it's still the same story. Take care and I hope you feel better.
