Zoloft

Posted by didi on August 26, 2000, at 13:17:26

I have been on Zoloft 50mg for 3 years now. After viewing 20/20 last night where the topic was "Paxil Withdrawal or Antidepressant Withdrawal" I became very concerned about the symptons I will have when I decide to get off of them. I fear not only the dizziness, nausea, electric shocks in brain. I fear a relapse of depression, PMS, being moody, being agitated, having irrational thoughts, crying, etc. etc. Zoloft eleviates all of the above. But, it also hinders my sex drive - which sucks. I have read, that by taking Gingko Biloba 3x a day would help "revive the drive". I have been taking it for 2 months and haven't noticed anything. So, to repeat, 1) fear of withdrawal symptons 2) fear of relapse of everything 3) continuing Zoloft reduces my libido. How long can one stay on Zoloft anyway? 5 years, 10, is there a time limit? Thoughts anyone???????
