Could be either/or and/or just a sense of futility and hopelessness... there is no one size fits all... though there are commonalities in afflictions there are uniquenesses in them and the surrounding circumstances for each and every one of us...

Well Siggie was certainly not idle and probably not solitary, much either so I suppose so. I do like this ending even better because though there is value in solitariness there is also proven health values in supportive companionship.
