Laurai - The risk of getting TD from traditional antipsychotics, like Mellaril, varies from person to person (approx. 4% risk per year). Rarely, some people do get TD after one or two doses and many people do not even get EPS symptoms at all. It's basically a crap shoot; with the odds in favor of not getting TD, There are still a risk, though. I guess that you could say that the longer you use an antipsychotic, the more chance you have of getting eventually getting TD.
You are taking a very low dose of Mellaril and this may reduce the risk of TD
