Daun - Kinda tough to draw diagrams on a text only board. I would suggest asking your local pharmacist to look at his Merck Index (also should be available at your local library). It has all the pictures of all the phenothiazines. I really don't know what good the chemical structures will be to you, unless you understand medicinal chemistry and the structure of the different dopamine receptors.
Phenothiazines are one of the traditional antipsychotic classes. The supposedly work by blocking (irreversibly binding to) dopamine-D2 receptors (one of several neurotransmitters in the body that carry the electrical signals from one nerve cell to another). Schizophrenia is characterized by an excessive response to dopamine (whether by too many receptors, too much dopamine, or both). By blocking the dopamine you treat the positive symptoms of schizophrenia (hallucinations, delusions, thought disorders, and bizarre behavior).
