Sorry to those I didn't respond to in a similar thread I began last month.
Provigil continues to work well for me, and the euphoria is mostly gone, but I _do_ notice "brightening" effect on my mood nonetheless.
And desire to sleep has been diminished greatly.
I do notice that on days I don't take Provigil (weekends sometimes), I tend to have a bit of "rebound" sleep.
Taking Provigil has NEVER inhibited my ability to sleep--only my desire to. I.e when I decide to go to bed at night, it's not a problem for me to fall asleep quickly.
However, I HAVE noticed increased *vigilance* (no pun) while I'm trying to fall asleep. For example, my housemate has been gone for a month, and I live in a fairly remote area; when I am trying to sleep, I seem to *quickly* notice *any* "bump" in the night, and respond with an adrenaline rush. But as long as I don't hear anything, I am able to fall asleep without event.
FYI: I take 40/mg Prozac a day and 200/mg Provigil/day (100mg at midday, 100mg at about 2pm).
All the best,
JM
