Sharon, Sarah, Noa and Renee--
I think the confusion comes from the fact that there ARE four amphetamine salts in ADDerall, but 2 are versions of amphetamine and 2 are versions of dextroamphetamine. The generic name for ADDerall is "mixed amphetamine salts." Active ingredients of a 5 mg. tablet include:
Dextroamphetamine saccharate 1.25 mg.
Amphetamine Aspartate 1.25 mg.
Dextroamphetamine Sulfate USD 1.25 mg.
Amphetamine Sulfate USD 1.25mg.
Rest of ingredients are pharmacologically inactive. This info comes from RxList (www.rxlist.com). Cam had said in an earlier post that they don't have ADDerall in Canada. The only compounds listed for methylphenidate HCL
(the generic name) were ritalin, methylphen, and metadate.Hope this helps.

He ssaid I could have one, but that they are very complicated. They are, but if you're fairly well informed(that would include anyone who reads Psycho-Babble, for sure!)you can learn alot from it. They tell you much more than the pharmacist's little blurb that comes with your meds. Renee N
