> Has anyone been with this board since the beginning? Do people tend to wander off as they respond to treatment or eventually tire of newbies coming up with the same questions? Or is it a case of once hooked it's impossible to quit? janJan
Jan - Get out of this board what you need, See how other people have reacted to certain treatments ( not necessarily drug treatment) and base your opinion of that. Alway consult with you doctor on what you read in this newsroom. We have some icrediably astuite people who follow this wedsite on an almost religious basis (althought formal religion is not usually inolved). The checks and balances to this newsgroup are phenomenal. I believe that this group give as no "BS" approach to what we (science) know about how drugs react in the body. We watch out for each other, the give the most accurate depiction of what science knows at that particular instance in time. We correct each other as new research comes to light, We try to help each other to cope with the day to day problems of the lag times of (onset of action of the different psychotropics (incl. antidepressant and atypical antidepressants). Most here have gone through the troubles as you are now or will be expericiencing and have coping mechanism to help us though these trying time. I have been here less than a month and I consider these people to be part of my people (not family). In some ways they are closer than my family, because they understand. I think, that once you have dealt with your 'demon' you can move on, but, what these people do for you, it may be hard to severe all ties (in a good way) -Hope this helps - Cam W.
