The adult day care filed a complaint w/adult protective services and probate court, accusing us of neglect and abuse because mom's losing weight. Wellllllllllll, she's in last stage Alzheimer's, folks. Her physician submitted a letter stating he saw no signs of abuse or neglect, that what she's experiencing is normal at her stage of the disease, and that the family is doing a remarkable job. (My sister is doing an absolutely fabulous job taking care of her!) I live 150 miles away. Her attorney has responded to the complaints and the court is challenging his right as her attorney. He's been my parents' atty for years.... he's a partner at one of the top ten US law firms.
My mother is realistically within her last months of life . . . . and and and and...........
