Damn and blast! Eight years of good control, and suddenly my blood sugar is totally out of whack!
Also, I'm out of Effexor, the drug company hasn't responded to the compassionate drugs program request, I can't afford to buy the damn stuff, and I'm wondering if that could be part of the problem?
Here's the deal: after about 8 years of good control, during which my BG stayed pretty stable between about 90 and 120, I'm suddenly going wild: 160 at noon, 90 at 12:30, ate a ham sandwich and got to 70 an hour later... This is what happened to me before, wild swings with no real rhyme or reason to them. The high reading this morning was 3 hours after my last meal, the 70 came about 45 minutes or an hour after a hearty ham sandwich that I thought would make me even higher. Last time around, it took about two years to get my sugar levels stable, but that coincided with getting me over a major depression. I wonder if fixing this will also improve my mood?
So, there's a thread in this I think. Anyone else have any experience with depression and blood sugar coinciding?
