Is Zoloft a rollercoaster?

I'm 21 and have been taking Zoloft (50mg)for a couple months and I started out feeling much better but now I seem to be having several down days. Is it normal to be going on this rollercoaster since I've just started this medicine. Also, am I being lazy by taking off a few days at work when I just don't feel right? Maybe I should just force my self to go?!
