CELEXA! Good, specific, effective drug. I'm on 80mg since 11/2. The only side effect experienced by me is blurred vision. So sorry to hear about you guys having gastro upsets.
This bipolar depression from Hell is still refractory, however. Recently, an adjunctive med was added to the mix: pindolol. It is supposed to increase the antidepressant effect faster than taking the antidepressant alone. I'll let you know the outcome in a few weeks.
Also, there was Lamictal (one of the new hot shot mood stablizers) added to the drug cocktail. It is supposed to reduce those rapid up-and-down mood swings. You know, when you go from severerly depressed to moderately depressed and back again (can't get manic though, because your anti-manic drug is doing its job).
Anyone with other ideas for treating resistive bipolar depression, please, respond!!!Mind Over Madness,
