I'm on disability. I lost my job 2 years ago because of a bad medication change, Abilify. Then I thought I was ready to go back to work a year ago and managed to get a job at Domino's pizza delivery. Well that lasted 4 months, untill the boss decided to not pay my miles because I didn't have a sign on my roof. Well that was only because the other boss was putting pizza in my hands and pushing me right back out the door the entire day. Well on a 24 order day that only comes to about $40, just in gas. So I quit! Haven't had a job since.
The truth is I want to drive a big rig. But they wouldn't aprove it because I have mental illness... So now what am I supposto do? Work for min wage and make less than the disability pays. I've tried to get a job in my field of electronics but can't. When I lost that 2nd to last job they said I would never work in this feild again. So far they are right. I've applied to endless jobs in electronics and nothing. Even had interviews.
Not sure I realy want to go back to pizza delivery. Don't know the area well enough, even though I had a GPS. Which they told me not to use? Because I would not learn the area with it. It gets prety demanding at the job with 4 pizzas and angry customers because you are delivering a 1.5 hour old pizza, so no tips. Well the 6.15 an hour just ain't enough. what jobs does that leave that pay anything worth working for???
And why work if you are going to make less than the disability? I can barely aford myself on disability.
So I guess what my question is, is what do you do when you can't get the job you want? And can't think of an alternative?

After less than 2 weeks of low hours part-time. because I didn't learn fast enough. Even though I was never trained. At the beginning of the job they said I would deffinitly be properly trained.
