Hi, I have been on lexapro 20mg and zyprexa 10mg for the last 6months. My doc decided I should quit them last week and begin a course of Valdoxan 25mgs 1 @ night. It is one week on and I feel absolutely terrible with nausea although strangely enough my deppression seems to be improving.
How long can I expect the nausea to go on and when the Valdoxan kicks in should the withdrawls cease???
Thanks

Hi,
just wondering would it be safe to stop the withdrawls by taking a lower dose with the valdoxan (agomelatine)25mg or will I stick out the suffering..
It is not pleasant and i wont get to talk to my Doc until Tuesday.
Thanks

You might not feel better when the Valdoxan kicks in after a couple of weeks.
I felt afternoon anxiety.Have you discontinued the lexapro?
If I were you I would at least consider halving the Valdoxan to 12.5 and taking some minimal Lexapro until your system settles down.

It made me feel awful, doc had bumped it up to 50mg a night and it has me wriggling with high anxiety since I started it or since I stopped the lexapro. I dont know which is to blame but I think I'm safer with the lexapro as I've been on it so long now.
