No! This drug (paroxetine) has one of the worst records for withdrawal reactions. You must taper off it slowly. You should take a minimum of six weeks to taper off, IMHO.

brain zaps? high anxiety? pannick attacks? heavy sweating? depression? social withdrawal?
ive been there beleive me, with lexapro, 2 weeks of brain zapping .... so i guess its time for a nightmare again, but i do know seroquel low dose works maybe 2 months and cure me, so i hope i will feel better again soon because i am desperate... beleive me

I quit it cold turkey. And I DO NOT recommend it.
If you do you will remember it as probably the worst experience of your life. Its like getting kicked in the head and stomche over and over and over again.
And you will not sleep. Not eat. Not function. How can you function getting kicked and the head and stomach over and over? You cant.
Please dont do that to yourself.

i'm used to that feeling
but i suffer from psychosis man,
i always think that i am not normal, and i feel i different, but there is one med that made me feel kinda normal again like the old days when i used to get out much with friends... so why taking a can of dogfood for cats?

Jerone,DO NOT DO IT !!! Paxil has a short half-life, which results in terrible withdrawal. It is pure hell!! The only way to get off paxil sooner is to go on prozac, because prozac has a long half-life.

2 weeks this will last to everybody, then it hopes to be gone ..the zaps in my body and brain ... just relax and take 2 weeks off and watch a movie or do something relaxing like taking a 2 week bath haha... i just took a shower oh jezus you dont want to see that!
