Luvox withdrawal

Posted by Phillipa on March 9, 2007, at 15:33:12

Never thought I would experience this as I've been on low dose luvox for many years. First two days not problem. Third day woke up and first thought was I feel suicidal. Went away during the day. But today some brain zaps and panic. I have been on this med with valium and .5xanax and lunesta. Still on the benzos my thyroid is also being adjusted. So I know that luvox potentiates affects of valium and xanax had told the pdoc that for years. So from 50mg went to 25mg. See low dose so why withdrawal? Makes no sense to me. The new pdoc said be off the luvox in a week he wants to see me at baseline as he thinks my problem is thyroid realated. So I have three more days at 25mg then was supposed to stop. Should I or cut to l2.5mg or do what . And how long should it last. As you know I'm an extremely anxious person with not tolerance for misery and work myself up more worrying about the side effects. Any advise and can't add benadryl or take prozac. Dose was too low and the most sedating ad. Thanks Phillipa
