Hi Phillipa,
I'm weaning because the vertigo that started when I started Geodon has only gotten worse and we suspect it now as a side effect, along with this wierd face tingling that has been tolerable, but wierd. Plus, I want to be on as few meds as possible. I am going to search a little on the alternative site for perhaps something to try instead. Good to hear from you! Spain was great. Jet-lag is hell

Missed you and they tried to give me geodon when you gone i said no. So basically the pdoc said do it my way or no way. Back to my pdoc five hours away and back on the lamictal but slept all day with diarrhea. Hope that doesn't mean I can't take it it's supposed to be a great med. Ummm, your present, yeah, ummm, that's right! It's advice! Go to Sevilla, Spain if you ever get the chance. It is a wonderful city, but not a huge metropolis. Lovely.

E-mail me . I have his E-mail I can send your question to him. But so far he hasn't answered my E-mails. A block can be a week up to a year. Each time you get a block if you get one again it doubles. I think Lar's is for l0 weeks. Love Jan

well, I've been on the Lamictal for a year, and the Geodon only about 3 months. the vertigo and wierd side effects started about 2 weeks after the Geodon did so it is the suspect.

I am currently weaning off Geodon due to extreme drowsiness and increased anxiety. I have been taking it for 3 weeks now. I am 3 days into weaning and it's not going well. My anxiety is through the roof and I am experiencing akathisia (inner restlessness and continuous leg movements).
My advice to anyone considering Geodon is be careful. If you do start taking it and there are any undesirable side effects, Wean as soon as possible to avoid serious withdrawl symptoms.Robert
