More on Zoloft withdrawal

Posted by serena11 on May 16, 2006, at 23:42:28

I wandered onto this site and have been extremely grateful for the suggestion to shave those little pills to make withdrawal easier. I had spent a month going from 50 to 0 mg, only to have a very difficult week of dizziness, inability to concentrate, raging emotions, and discouragement. So I have taken a tiny shaving this evening and wonder when my brain will return to normal. I am drinking lots of fluids, taking fish oil, praying, and waiting.

Hi Serena11 - I too just wandered back on this board, as I used to be a regular poster a few years back. I am now trying to go off Zoloft.

I've been on & off lots of ADs over the past few years, but always going from one to the other so no real adverse effects. Now, I am trying to go completely off ADs, with nothing else but some herbs & supplements to hold me up :-) I just started going from 50 to 25mg yesterday. I guess I'll do 25 mg for a couple of weeks, then halve them again. I'm seeing my doctor in a couple of days to get his take on this.

So . . . it's been about 45 days since you've posted. How goes it????
