Please help - Cymbalta/Lamictal withdrawal

Posted by Wildflower on January 8, 2006, at 18:34:34

I just recently stopped cymbalta (60mg) and lamictal (50mg) cold turkey. To refill them was going to cost a fortune and I think both have lost their affect anyway. At one point, I was on cymbalta 120 because I had no reaction to 60. Can't remember why we went back down to the ineffecvive dose... I digress..

This leaves me with klonopin and wellbutrin. Not sure if this will help or hurt me but I went from 1-2 mg of klonopin when I stopped the others. I'm also on 300mg of Wellbutrin thinking of upping that to 450 (which I've been on before).

I'm going through a rough time personally and the withdrawal scare is making it worse.

Please help.

Hi Wildflower,
I'm sorry you've been going through a rough time. It's always tough to change meds when life has been extra stressful. Are you doing this in conjunction with your doc? Hopefully he or she is giving you good support if so.

I don't have any withdrawal problems in my experience, so I don't have any specific advice or insights. I guess I've been lucky. I hope you get through this smoothly as well.

Keep posting here or on social or other boards if you find it helpful.

Take care,

gg
