I am taking 300 mg , do I have to taper off of it or can I just quit taking it? Are there any withdrawal symptoms?

I've stopped it cold turkey at 450mgs and I didn't have any side effects from it but to feel better.
It was causing my heart to race like crazy so I had to stop it all at once.
I'm on it again at 300mg but thinking of stopping again (cold turkey) because I just don't think I feel good on this med at all (my heart is not racing) and I don't think it does that much to help me with my depression. I also don't get any of the energizing effects from it and in fact I think it makes me tired !

I tapered from 450 to 150 over a week about a month ago, then quit.
Nothing at all, except after about 10 days I started to get really depressed again, so I went back on it and I'm back up to 450. I was taking it with Remeron and I figured out the Remeron was bothering me, not the Wellbutrin.
My doctor says there isn't really any withdrawal syndrome with Wellbutrin, and I've been on it before in the past and quit cold turkey and did not have any problems.
