I have been off my 40mg of prozac for about 5 wks now. i was feeling fine, but lately its been bad. my anxiety is up, even with the klonopin i take, i am starting to withdrawl from society again. i didnt tell my pdoc i stopped and i also went cold turkey. but i was fine for weeks, but now, i am feeling really weird. like i have major headaches, sleepy, hyper, my stomach hurts..
should i start back at 20mg and then in a few wks increase it back up? i dont want to tell my pdoc about this and have not seen him in a while.......

You can't go cold turkey. You will feel like crap. You will even feel more messed up and anxious. You have to taper down. Go back to dosage that relieves your withdrawal symptoms (that's what they are). Then come down slowly. Get the liquid prozac and a 1 ml. syringe (without the needle, of course). You are going to have to tell your doctor because he/she is going to have to prescribe the liquid, but he/she can at least help you figure out the dosage. Come down slow. You will get your life back. Of course, then you'll notice all the stuff you've not been doing since you started the meds, but that's another story!!! GOOD LUCK and DON'T GIVE UP. It's worth it.
