Hi! Just thought I would check in with everyone. I have been pretty much completely anti-depressant free for almost two weeks now and I am SOOOO glad to have finally taken this leap. I had no idea how much of my life I'd been missing out on. The first thing to return was my sex drive, and boy did it come back with a vengeance (I can't express how happy this makes me). I can actually FEEL things again. My apathy is gone, my energy is through the roof, and I generally just feel this incredible enthusiasm about LIFE that I had totally forgotten existed. No joke. It hasn't been a constant eurphoria or anything, just a heightened sense of awareness and a broader range of emotions. There are definitely downs, but the downs are always balanced by ups at some point. And the ups are amazing. The withdrawal has not been pleasant (brain zaps, etc.), but the lifting of the antidepressant veil completely makes up for these negative side-effects. On a couple of occasions, the "tremors" got so bad that I had to take a very small amount of Cymbalta to relieve them (about 7 or 8 mg.). But they are slowly dissapating and I don't think that I will have to supplement for very much longer. Thanks to you all for your support. I really appreciate the feedback and helpful information. Please keep me posted as to your progress, and I will try to be of as much help as I can be!

That's great!!! I also came off an AD recently (Celexa). It's like a veil has been lifted but I still have my problems!
Kind regards,
Ed.
