I am currently taking 15 mg of Adderall XR per day combined with 300mg of Wellbutrin. I have been taking a psychostimulant for ADD for 8 years. I am now in the process of discontinuing the Adderall in small increments(while remaining on the Wellbutrin), but am fearful of gaining weight. So far I have tapered the Adderall from 30 mg per day to 15 mg, but do not weigh myself so am unsure if I have gained anything. My clothes feel the same so I think its been OK so far but am worried about what my body will do when I am completely off of it. Does weight gain always occur when going off of the Adderall XR? Will the Wellbutrin help to offset any possible weight increase upon complete cessastion?
