I have been on Depakote 2000milligrams each night for 6 years now. I think I could be doing better. I want to try lamotrigine. What would be the best way to wean myself off the Depakote completely(which will be heck, mentally, I tried it cold turkey a couple of years ago), before starting this new medication, I see my Doctor this Friday 29th.?

i am being treated for manic depression, i am very depressed most of the time, the only other feeling i have is anger. I dont get frustrated, i pretty much by pass that useless time consuming condition, just go to mad dog anger. That happened a couple of months ago at work, I had to excuse myself, thank whomever is in control, that i could back off, it frightned me, after it happened though.
