Drug Screen - Marijuana

On average, how soon after using marijuana will someone test clean?

I don't remember what the numbers are, but supposedly it depends on how often you do it...

What I have read is that if you are a habitual toker, it stays in your system longer than if you only do it occasionally...

I think it was something like a week if occasional, a month or so if habitual... but I could be wrong. Just Google "drug testing" and you will find a lot of info about it.

Good luck

Its about 2-4 weeks, but there are things you can do to speed up the process and flush it out, like drink vinager, tons of water or take golden seal, although I think you have to do that before you smoke :-).

They say a month to be safe, but you could test clean sooner. If you have smoked everyday for a long time, I believe it takes longer (but I've never heard how long). One of the main things I've been told is to drink 'alot' of water the day of the test. From what I understand it dilutes your urine and the THC in it. However, I've heard some places have caught on to this and won't accept it if it looks clear. I usually take vitamins, that makes it bright yellow, and drink alot of water. But that's after not smoking for a month - I'm just paranoid. Of course this is all heresay. Take it for what its worth.

I appreciate everyone's response!

I had a great time this past Saturday night after my brother's wedding reception. A bunch of us went out to a local bar. Later, we crashed at someone's house where I drank even more and participated in an unplanned smoke fest. The last time I used weed before Saturday night was over seven years ago. Of course I feel dysphoric and guilty, but no regrets because it was to celebrate my brother's marriage. The ONLY regret will be if I submit to a drug test within the next 3-4 weeks - I'm on probation. Fortunately, I don't foresee that happening until mid-October, if at all.

Thanks again to those who commented.

There are a few things that may help, but can you confirm that "that was the first time in seven years"statement? That before the other night, you had not smoked weed in 7 yrs.?
Another thing,v,will it be a pee test, hair follicle test,or what?
Try staying active and let the body rid itself of any metabolites floatin around in ya,disapate through the skin.Drink 4-6 small glasses of cranberry juice daily, for a week or so.
Last,if it is a pee test(most likely it will be),don't drink a gallon of anything before the test, maybe a couple of big cups of water, cause they DO look for "intentional dilution" of the urine.Begin the stream and try to catch the sample in the middle of the effort, then go ahead and finish.Don't flush, turn water on,or make noise of any suspicious nature,or one of them big,250 lb. Battle Ax Nurses might bust in the door and make you do it again. You should be fine.Festus

Chic,
Nice try with the vitamins, but the testers go on more than appearence. They also test specific gravity and creatinine, both of which can indicate hyperdilution which then sets off alarms. If you get caught on the creatinine part, tell them you are a vegetarian. Vegs excrete less creatinine.GH

That's only if you have time to prepare for the test. I had to go in for accute stress from horrible verbal abuse from my boss. Had started smoking California licensed marijuana at night so I could sleep. Stress leaves requires Workers Compensation step in, and they drug-tested me. Even with my California license, I was fired anyway. I have now spent the last two weeks on the couch, waiting for Workers Comp to assign me a shrink or whatever, on drugs that help me maintain during the day (Affexor), staying pretty much stoned so I don't have to think. I ran out this morning, and am going to try to use all my will not to go and get more. And right now it's not looking too good. My jaw has already locked shut, and I'm starting to get a headache.
