I raise my glass of selter water to you, Colleen. I had a difficult time last night out with my husband's family as I watched them take advantage of happy hour. Meanwhile I was taking advantage of wanting to be swallowed up by the floor. I'm on your side, Colleen. I don't want to let myself down with a drink today.
Hugs for you and a brave smile.

Congrats on last night...

You did wonderfully, PC!

I had three beers at a family gathering then
felt physically and emotionally ill. Could have been an interaction with the Cymbalta. I haven't drank while on it before. So glad I didn't have any more.

Stay strong today!

:-) Colleen

Aha! There she is!
This day is Ok because everyone is sitting in front of the TV but me. I am in the kitchen, still cooking. No smiles left in my face, they have fled.

Stayed sober. Cried, became angry, stomped off a couple of times, but my head did not explode, nor did my mouth spew forth with curses and accusations. I was very tired by the end of the day, but everyone pitched in and cleaned up the messes I had made in the kitchen will creating the meal. Except for the floor; you need to wear sturdy footwear to traverse that territory.
I don't feel victorious but very very tired.

Congrats to everyone. I survived too. I was Martha Stewart directing all the activity (I LIKE delegating), making sure everyone, even the youngest had a job. Turkey was a little dry (my mother left it in too long!) but dinner for 12 was a total succcess. I took a nap and then the girls went to see Bridget Jones and the men to Alexander. It was a good day.

I felt very strong and calm on the outside, but inside I am still crumbling. But I'm holding on.

Now we're off to shopping!!

Exhausted by 7pm after being up with children at 5am. Turkey was wonderful. I did it in one of those bags...moist and tender in 2 hours. That was the best thing about the day.
