Ok, I've been taking 60mg of Adderall Xr for about 5 months. At first it was wonderful, not its only bad bad bad side effects. My doc refuses to give me Dexedrine to try instead, he says it's the same as Adderall! Anyhow... If I where to empty out a capsule, grind up the little beads, and snort it, would I get a different response? Now all I get from swallowing it is hot, sweaty, angry, irritated, unable to eat for a few hours and then I want to binge... Not good, I'm already overweight. And, when I started Adderall I lost 15 lbs from just not wanting to eat, now after 3-4 hours all I want to do is eat? Will snorting give me any better results? Does anybody know which color beads are immediate release and which are delayed release. I take 2 30mg Adderall XR daily. Thanks for any help you can give!

60mg a day! That's a lot, no wonder you're experancing bad side effects. Adderall is a potent drug and common side effects are racing heart (which is why you would feel like that). I was taking 60mg a day and I would get very sick feeling, currently I'm taking 20mg a day and what a differance it makes! I was taking the XR but didn't like it at all, taking 10mg twice a day is far more effective than the XR. And you don't want to break the capsuls, they are time released and could be harmful to you. You may want to tell your doctor how you are feeling on the meds, if he's being arrogant about it then find a new doctor. It's very hard to find a good doctor in this field.
Be careful, Adderall is highly addictive. Check your resting pulse throughout the day and give those numbers to your doctor. Mine almost doubled at times. Take care.

anything pill going up your nose will casue damage to your mucus membranes. If you use adderall xr Intranasaly there are many extra ingredients that the amphetamine salts are bonded to, none of these should go in your nose. The effects would be probobly the same except it would come on faster and not last as long, plus when things take less time to take effect and especially amphetamine it becomes way more addictive.
