(((foreign minister of nz)))))

you are doing your job...

you are saying things that are on the minds of many many many many many people, in new zealand.

many maaori leaders, particularly.

you are articulating thoughts that are widely believed. saying them. articulating them clearly and well.

and you are getting a bit of a hammering.

but it is part of the process for working through.

new zealand says we haven't genocided maaori (we are not guilty of trying) because work and income has been encouraging the breeding of second class or third class... slaves... people... 'i dream of genie' about them. uplifted by government agencies. abused in government agencies / in state care. only to go into psychiatric hospitals or prisons or be homeless...

but what is genocide? none of that is maaori culture. you can exterminate a culture in other ways. by... mis-appropriation. by takin the language and... taking control of it. in 1984 style...

but we can't get to any of there... any of that...

until maaori leaders accept that maaori are people with the same rights as everyone else. and part of that is maaori leaders acceping that people have rights.

and not 'awwwwwwwwwwwww there's nothing we can do'. and 'awwwwwwwwwwwww too bad you lose'. about it.

it is about... feeling disempowered. like there is nothing you can do. so not being able to face up to.

there is an element of self-protectiveness. in teh blindness. not being able to see.

part of it is about entire belief systems / frameworks that people have.

people think that if x then y and if y then z and if z then things are so bad that i can't cope i can't cope i can't cope.

but z is not true. x is true. and y doesn't follow at all.

but you can't work through how y doesn't follow at all until people start to face up to x.

but they deny x because they can't face up to z.

it's a mess.

all over.

and it is a trauma thing.

it is deeply ingrained about the hierarchy of being and about there not being enough resources for everyone to have genuine need met. and the only way people could cope was to deny that needs were genuine.

so it is mind-blowing...

for people to learn that there is no shortage of resources for everyone to have genuine need met. it is just problems of distribution.

that can't be true -- because so many people have been deprived of so much.

the deprivation and denial and negation has become so deeply ingrained.

gratitude for scraps (because if you don't express sufficient gratitude then they will only treat you worse / withhold more of what you need).

it's been so ingrained it persists right through to the very very highest levels of maaori leadership.

maybe new zealand leadership, too.

hmm.

little help. yeah.

our leadership has needed a little help.

how does development work, then?

i have been trying to understand, too.

i guess it's a bit controversial...

but recently we've been having help from somewhere to try and help new zealand develop to the point where people don't put their money into housing or bonus bonds... but where people invest in businesses.

technology business will have to come first.

for the security / control of information.

i mean to say... without technology independence... people will only steal your stuff.

i mean to say... while you are writing up your business plan or your patient or whatever the people who have administrator access on your software and so on will just be uplifing everything to profit from it without you. i would imagine.

like when you apply for a scholarship or a research grant or a start up business award and before they've got around to processsing anything they have given it to someone else to see into fruition without you.

i mean... why wouldn't you if you could get away with it?

why would you invest in people who have those kinds of ideas when you can just steal their stuff always?

and crcy cry cry on the world stage for handouts.

the children...

There was some... Altercation... A woman who was granted NZ citizenship at a young age, I believe. Who moved to Australia and spent most of her life in Australia. Had ties there. More recently went to Turkey and was accused of terrorism or something and they were going to deport her.

Australia rescinded citizenship since they could because of the terrorism charges or something and they weren't leaving her stateless because she was a NZ citizen.

We sort of went 'heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey that's not fair'. And it was maybe a bit unsporting. But Australia was like, 'well, that's what you should have done. See. See what happens when you aren't paying attention and you snooze.'

And now there will be talks...

Except that by the seems of it... New Zealand has gone 'awwwwwwwwwwwww she has children. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww we care about the children.'

ANd NZ is happy to... Uplift the children, basically.

So...

If we really really cared about the children...

Would they be better of raised in NZ or Australia?

We have said their ties are in Australia.

But we are only too happy to have the children...

Uh...

Trafficked???

Here.

Tut tut.

it was a good interview, though. she asked some good questions and she kept her focus pretty well of asking the good questions really clearly, too.

pushing for development. yeah. beacause there are plenty of people in new zealand wanting to see that progressed, too...

maaori, too. it's figuring to work together to allow maaori to have the same human rights as everybody else. enforcing those for everyone. everyone. everyone. all the people. everyone. everyone. every time. stand together every time call out the violations and work together to help figure out what is to be done.

how are the people to develop? how do you get economic and social development in a way that is respectful of traditions and cultures and so on... partly it is about paying the workers. is it really development for maaori to offer them a bunch of jobs picking fruit in northland? depends... how well are they paid? what are the hours? what are the benefits? or are they slaves?

and i guess it will build / develop into something along the lines of...

shares.

in the fruits of the labor.

and prospects for development. in terms of roles. so people aren't forced into jobs that are perceived to be crappy and dead end.

apparently coffee, bananas, and pineapples will grow, up north.

i'm not saying it's a great idea to turn it all into farming land...

but new zealanders will pay for these products. we do pay for them. but they typically come from places around teh world where the workers are slaves, basically...

i would certain pay a bit more (and also eat a bit less) of bananas and coffee... if it was genuinely locally sustainably sourced.

lots of people in nz would.

eggs is another.

they don't properly police the manufacturers. so you get ripped off paying for 'organic' or 'free range' or 'spca approved' and it turns out to be a rubbish hoax. people would pay more if they trusted that the money they gave actually went into the things they were told it would go into.
