I think some people are readers and some are not. I read constantly and aways have, since early childhood. Mostly fiction, but also history, social commentary, some science. But my ex rarely reads anything besides the newspaper. Just not his thing. Studies show that women are the biggest consumers of fiction.

i read science fiction novels, The city at the end of time by greg bear, and Spook Country by william gibson
but me personally, im not a bookworm, i can read a few chapters and then get iceburged .... it's more of a chore to read, but if im making myself learn new states of mind, the urantia book and metaphysics - i read that more because it's more in enrichment of mind expansion
