Has she seen a gastroenterologist? I take two meds for GERD and Barrett's Esophagus. I found out I had these two conditions after vomiting a lot of blood.
I take Omeprazole and Lansoprazole. I have no idea if one of these meds will help her. I would definitely ask her doctor.

People can have GERD and not know it. That was the case with me. GERD can turn into Barrett's Esophagus where the lining of the esophagus becomes like the lining of the stomach. It's a pre-cancerous condition that needs to be endoscoped every three years.
I'm not saying that this is the case here but it's fairly common. It's definitely a signal to get good treatment and could be worth getting an endoscope if her GP thinks it's necessary.

Pantoprazole helps acid reflux and heals peptic ulcers. It doesn't help diarrhea; it can actually make diarrhea worse.

The cause needs diagnosing to choose a suitable treatment.
