Here in Charlotte NC area me being near Weddington you can purchase one that is like mine 22,000sq ft. First floor Master bedroom, Master Bathroom, Laundry room, Bedroom 2 my computer room, Kitchen with dining area, Sunroom in back off great room, Front supposed to be dining room but use as sitting room. Then upstairs second Master Bedroom & Bath, Greatroom, Lots of storage. Oops forgot another full bath downstairs for anywhere's from $220 to $250. Go to California and same would be triple this. Got to shop around for states with good tax rate and housing market. Amenities also. Phillipa

Lets put it this way. The national average is now approx. $415,000.
In Toronto (close to where I live). Houses are around $700,000 *on average* whereas household incomes are around $70,000.
Its insane. The government keeps denying it. Oh well.
Living longer at home, I guess.

And I googed my home is only 2,200 sq ft. Yes living in Canada is truly expensive. What industries are there to pay this amount of money? Phillipa

My daughter lives in Montreal. Oddly, rents are very cheap compared to Boston (where I live). But buying a condo is expensive, not as high as Boston, but pricey still.

Hi all. I started a petition to Boycott the Canadian Housing Market. I need some signatures to get this thing rolling.
You don't need to use a full or real name and your email is not shown. Signing means you will not buy a house in Canada for a 6 month period.

Please and thanks!
