being suicidal: my best post, i didn't write it :)

Posted by Phil on August 13, 2014, at 20:08:00

This post got more hits on the old blog than any other. 400+ It's not morbid. It was published in Scientific American and was written by Jesse Bering who gave me his blessing to post.
I will always have this post somewhere in reach. It's strangely comforting to me. This hopefully won't trigger anyone and i don't see why it would. You will hopefully thank me for this. love, phil

It's an excellent post, Phil. triggering to me personally, but only because of my situation at the moment. Generally, I'd have No Problemo with this article. Got halfway through and started getting Ideas, so I just clicked out.

Such a complex, misunderstood subject. How many times have we heard, "it's a plea for help!" B.S.

It's a plea for the nearest exit door, clear and simple. Hard to imagine a phone call, a hug, a trip to the ER helping with that one. And at the time, of course, the thinking is not disordered at all; it's as clear as a bell. Get me out of here, Now.

Thank you for posting and sharing.

I was in an evil group therapy group. I couldn't take 7 other people that were 'normal'. they were worse than me and 2 of them had been in that group for EIGHT YEARS!!!one day i said that depressed people see the world more accurately than those who don't have MI. I thought someone there might kill me after saying that.

read 'em and weep bitches. :) finally the therapist said,'He's right.'

Smart therapist. Maybe I like this group because it changes. People come and go according to their circumstances, problems, ability to afford it.

It was the same with this group but not so much. the 30 day intensive group therapy met at the psych ward bldg i visited, 4 hours a day 5 days a week was constantly turning over as peoples 30 days were done and new people came in. it was a SUPPORTIVE group.
one social worker and another switched days. maybe see one for 3 days then the other for two, etc. i thought his will never work but those two ladies were sharp. one said that my thinking process was slow and needs to be addressed. so i say to her, why, emm, uh, why do you think my...(where was i?) you said this. right right. i'm sorry i lost the thought.
