I remember your fondness for them. (You introduced me to them.) I haven't listened to it all the way through yet.

This album is a return to an older sound of there's, don't you think? His voice is nicely showcased, too. Eno is out of the picture, which I think is good. Don't know who the producer is currently.

They do share a quality. If I knew more about music, I could say something more. Coldplay has more power behind his voice? Coldplay can weave and soar. His voice is f*ckin amazing! whether someone likes what he does with it or even dislikes it's sound, it is both skilled and powerful and moves almost without thought. IMO :-)
Thank you for the musical treat! I had not heard of JVM.

"I wanna go south of the river, glacier slow,in the heart of the winter,I wanna go south of the river, face it alone, in the heart of the winter...I no longer fit, I was someone else.." Glacier
Ive always wanted to go somewhere, alone, in wicked cold, and face down my demons, really get to know who I am and what I want. And this song expresses it to me.

You are such a romantic :-)
I like that song. In my imagination, I often hold the idea of 'The North'. I'd like to go here
