I like the vids where the camera gets up close to the singers face like this one.
Yes, the Safe and Sound is unique & cool with the dancing. Have u watched Bruno Mars perform? I love the way he presents himself on stage & coordinates the moves with his band mates. Looks so smooth.

> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47dtFZ8CFo8I love Yazoo. I believe they had to rename themselves Yaz for the American market for some reason. Perhaps they already had a Yazoo. Only You is definitely one of their best songs.
Thanks for posting The Safe and Sound, I really enjoyed it.
I seem to have the greatest affinity for songs which were popular when I was young (esp. 80s).
I like this one by KC and the Sunshine Band:

Oh and I love this one by INXS 'Need You Tonight', such as great song:

My cousin hung out with INXS and went backstage at all their concerts. She was one of their "groupies" and was esp close with Michael Hutchence. Sad the way his life ended too soon.
Yes, Yaz was the name I remember for that band. There was another song of theirs that I loved. Im gonna try to find it...

Wow what a coincidence that I just posted it to you!
>Yes, Yaz was the name I remember for that band. There was another song of theirs that I loved. Im gonna try to find it...
I think they only used Yazoo in the UK. Yaz elsewhere, presumably because something else was called Yazoo. And now, we have a contraceptive pill called Yaz ;)
I like Nobody's Diary (1983). It's doesn't beat the beauty of Only You (1982) though.

Perhaps you liked Don't Go?

Anyway, after Yazoo split up, Alison continued a solo career (great voice) and Vince continued playing the keyboard and writing music - this time with Erasure. IMO, A little Respect is Erasure's best song. I really really love this song, it's just beautiful.

Now I don't think this song was ever popular in America, but it was very popular over here (1987/1988). Love changes everything - by Climie Fisher. It's brilliant. I especially like the chorus 'Love makes you fly, it can break your wings'.

EMBRACE THE ABJECT
and for a short while I was very proud of my country.

Tarantino made a great choice of the Chuck Berry tune in Pulp Fiction.
