This was just part of it. Everything kind of sucked. Cried on the phone with the facilitator of my support group because (elsewhere, not here!) I felt bullied.
Depression is non-selective. It hits you like a jacuzzi tub with multiple jets, only so hard they hurt instead of relaxing you. At least it has stolen my appetite. It was about time. The jets feel like they are pummeling you. Then you get out, and you look uninjured, but feel like a veal scallopini. Can't crawl into bed, because the sun is shining too brightly.
Nothing to really explain or do about it. Just ride the wave, hope it isn't a riptide, and remember to tread water. No sharks.

Hi PC,
Depression is non-selective, you're absolutely right about that. I should be feeling somewhat happy or at least optimistic because I have two interviews tomorrow for two part-time jobs. I feel rejected and I haven't even stepped in their doors. Those jets are hitting me full force and leaving invisible bruises. I don't mean to steal your thread, I just can identify, except for the weight loss part. I'll be lucky to fit into my interview clothes. T thinks that I'm eating is a good thing, because of my past eating disorder. She's wrong.
Anyway, throw those sharks some chum and keep them at bay.

Good luck at your interviews, Poet. If I hadn't qualified for disability, I don't know what I would do. You're not stealing my thread, depression is an enormous club that so few understand. Where the tears come from. A kind word or a thoughtless one. Tears don't care, except mine tend to show up when I am among people. God help them if they show compassion. I am a blubbering mess.
I will tell the dolphins and whales to keep the sharks away from us as long as they can.
Meanwhile, we ride those waves.
Thank you, Poet.

I've been having a lot of depression. I take a two hour nap before going to bed.
I'm on disability too and I don't leave this apartment unless it's on fire.
I was at a hospital with a girlfriend whose mother was dying of cancer. This frail lady walked up to us and asked my gf so what are you here for? She said her mother was dying of cancer. She looked at me and said, you? I'm here to support my girlfriend. She said, you run well on a muddy track. Tears were shooting out of my eyes as I ran to the bathroom. I couldn't stop crying. Children of alcoholics are prone to that. I guess that seeing someone so ill being so kind...
