'Lazy' Sunday

Posted by Angela2 on September 15, 2013, at 18:27:45

I spent today cleaning up my room. It was really kind of nice. I like when things are neat and orderly (says the girl who is super disorganized and messy). Now I'm reading a book called "Just Listen," by Sarah Dessen. It's pretty good so far. Earlier I went for a drive, and went to a barnes and noble, where i bought a trivial pursuit book. I couldn't resist. I suppose I had a good day. :)

Since I have quit my job, I don't like how things feel uncertain and unpredictable. But I was talking to my therapist, who said that following through is really important because you trust yourself and have confidence in yourself when you do follow through, with your decisions.

That's cool. Yesterday I think I had too much going on. So far, I have not been able to shop for groceries and prepare a meal on the same day. ????
So yesterday did the shopping. Collapsed afterwards, had a nap, went to an Art Walk of local galleries, and ate out (late).

BUT, it meant I got to cook in my new kitchen today with only a 50% grade of stress on my spectrum. It isn't finished, but the appliances work. No counter. No backsplash. We have no idea where all of our pots and pans are, because I was filling the boxes, and DH was chucking them into the garage. But I did it! And we cleaned up! And our cramped kitchen now feels so enormous, and I am gaining storage and a desk of my own.

Contractor/designer is a magician. Or a wizard. He laughs a lot. Life is good.

I quite like it when I get some time to clean and tidy, too. Probably because it is such a difference from how I usually operate, yeah. Sounds like you had a nice day. I don't like uncertainty / unpredictability, either. Unfortunately... The world doesn't co-operate in that respect sometimes. Even with the most well laid of plans...
