1978 Ford Pinto

Posted by gadchik on June 26, 2012, at 12:14:40

Im reading my book last night, and it mentions a 1978 Ford Pinto.Immediately,I close my eyes and recall 34 yrs ago.I was running thru the streets in my neighborhood, screaming with joy,to my house, where mom had just brought home our new puke green Ford Pinto.I believed it was the coolest car ever!I remember getting so excited about things, and having so much energy back then. After going back in time for a moment,I suddenly felt so amazed that I am now a middle aged woman.Im not sad, just grateful.

Besides CURIOSITY, being curious, being grateful is the highest and best use of our time on this planet...

Thanks for being grateful and writing about it!!!

I agree. I think being curious, esp. when getting older, is what will see you thru. It keeps you interested in life, good to be curious and grateful!

I had to laugh at "granny on the beach bike"!:)Keep moving, that's my plan! Have you ever tried hiking? I went 7 miles yesterday, 4 this morning,I absolutely love it! I love to be in motion.I used to love to bike on the Va Beach boardwalk, while on vacation every year.Have you biked it? I also did a bike trail in Nashville,Tn that was fabulous.

VA Beach Boardwalk no biking but did on the trail down Shore Drive behind the homes which is a trail through the woods miles and miles and ends at the beach. The beach I used to run barefoot for five miles but can run no longer. Back wouldn't allow for hiking either but when younger loved it. Phillipa

Definitely got a massage there as had a massage therapist who was trained there and she was wonderful. I once was going to attend and become a massage therapist. I even interviewed there. The program was a year long at the time. They are fabulous in the art of massage. P
