I'm going to help the homeless people out

Posted by Deneb on February 11, 2012, at 2:15:45

I've decided I'm going to volunteer at this homeless shelter.

Ever since that homeless man smiled at me, I am really feeling the plight of these people. In a lot of ways, they have it worse than criminals in prison.

I spend all my spare time either shopping or surfing the Internet right now and that time would be better spent helping the homeless.

I think I will make a lot of friends with the other volunteers. I think this will make me a better person.

I don't have much money to donate but I have a lot of spare time. I can donate my time.

I really hope my help will change lives and get some homeless people back on their feet again.

I want to do anything I can, but it would be great if I would tutor some people to write their high school diploma equivalent or something. I could brush up on my high school stuff too! It would be a total win-win situation.

I'm really excited about this. I've emailed the shelter already asking for a tour on Sun and to ask for more information.

Then I will send in my application.

You're likely to meet some folks with mental illness.
Good for you Deneb :-)
