Did I want to wake up at 430 in the morning? No, I've got a couple more hours.
So, I was thinking about the terrible toll that mental illness can take on people, how disabling it can be.
I was also thinking about how amazing language is, with all it's nuances. The fact that we can speak and be understood, read, write, all of that is pretty nice.
And it's interesting the way that disorders of the brain can affect that. Strokes, Alzheimer's, schizophrenia, etc.
ok, time to try and sleep again.

SG,
I found that slight sleep deprivation is a powerful mood enhancing thing... At the day you woke up earlier did you notice you were more accelerated or awaken? You said your mind was busier?
I'd risk to recommend waking up in the middle of an REM sleep phase. If not on a better mood, I guess one can feel more energized or alert.

I don't know. I know it was annoying because I wanted to sleep. I got back to sleep after a couple of hours, that's a lot of time doing nothing but thinking.
I think maybe part of the reason that low dose seroquel helps me, is that I don't have time to ruminate when I go to bed.I don't want to interrupt any sleep. I like sleeping... A lot

I have problems with sleep since I was 5, so I don't particularly enjoy it.

I'm just the opposite. When I feel really, really depressed, I take 4mg risperdal, 2mg ativan and 200mg trazadone and knock myself out for 12-14 hours. I wake up feeling much better. Lack of sleep makes me feel all out of sorts. Even 7 hours feels like too little for me.
