Ugh....I sent a letter from T to an apartment saying that they should let me have Gus, since they don't allow pets otherwise. This was at least 2 months ago. I called today to check on the progress of the decision....and the guy at the apartment found the letter/my record? and was like..."oh yeah, i doubt they'll let you have a dog b/c the pet policy is pretty sctrict..but i'll check w/ my boss."
He obviously hasn't even attempted to do anything about this and probably will do little/nothing. I know there are laws about having an emotional support animal and T and I agree that I've been doing so much better since I got my dog.
I was so stressed out when I was on the phone w/ this stupid guy....i got a stomach ache and almost started crying and left a message w/ T ((((T)))). I really hope this works out but it will be so stressful if i have to make a complaint...esp. since there is less time 'til move-in (Sept) since they've just been sitting on this letter for months :/
Does anybody know anything about this process? I'm not just trying to screw the system...i know some ppl complain about that...and my doggy is really well behaved and everything
*sigh*

I'm sorry rose :-(
I hope they'll show some understanding. I don't know anything about allowances landlords have to make. I hope it turns out well.
(((you and Gus)))

I like the name Gus. A dog named Gus seems so lovable :-)
Hmmm. So how to get Gus home with as little stress as possible....
Hey. Can you call the local shelter? They might know the laws in your area. They might now of some animal or pet advocates, too.
This is the end of the thread.
