My pdoc said she wants me off the Risperdal because I'm gaining weight. Basically I'm fat now.
I need to lose weight.
I've ordered some Optifast from Ebay. It will take a while to arrive so I'm going to start on a combination of protein shakes, Atkin's shakes, salad and lean meat as my diet. It's a modified Atkins. I'm going to eat more carbs than Atkins allows, but less than I usually do.
I'm not going to weigh myself at all for several reasons. The first is that I'm just too afraid to find out my weight and the second is that I don't want to be obsessed with the scales. Also I don't want to focus on weight loss, I want to focus on my behaviours.
Tomorrow I will start my modified Atkin's diet.

Good luck Deneb! I avoid looking at scaled, too. It's better for me to focus on behavior and health, too.
Are you concerned with your med change?
