For the first time ever, I am actually being social with my real life friends! I'm emailing them, asking about them and just am generally interested in them. They are responding!
I even came up with the idea to cook some meals for my friend who just had her baby and suggested the idea to everyone.
I feel good about this. Being social in real life is good! I have to thank Babble for giving me the skills to socialize!
Before Babble I was not social at all. I was painfully shy and didn't have any social skills. Chatting and posting on Babble has taught me social skills! Yay!

Also, don't forget the social skills learned by meeting Babblers in person. It does help to deepen your relationships as well.

Good for you! That was a great idea. It's hard to cook with a brand new baby along.
And good for you for not passively waiting for friends to find you. I'll bet it feels good to reach out for what you want, and discover it's attainable. :)

I was productive again today. :-)
I made 2 lasagnas and 2 maple walnut pumpkin pies (this time with just canned pumpkin). I'm freezing one of the lasagnas to bring to my friend's place tomorrow. I'm bringing her a pumpkin pie too. The other lasagna and pumpkin pie are for me. :-)
Mom didn't have to cook when she came home tonight. She is eating my lasagna and she likes it. :-)
This was my first time making lasagna. Next time I will change some things. First, instead of ricotta cheese, I will use cottage cheese because I find I don't like the slight bitterness from the ricotta. Also I need more more cottage cheese for the layers.
I will also crumble the beef more next time. The chunks were pretty big.
I can't wait to see the baby tomorrow!

Congratulations!
That's a lot of work.
Note. I don't think you really need to freeze the lasagna if you're delivering it tomorrow. Of course it will be easier to carry over if it's frozen since you won't need to worry about it oozing around if it's not 100 percent level all the time.

ps. It's a really bad idea to listen to advice from people on the internet like me who've already confessed that they dont' cook! (confused yet? :) )
pps. I want a pie! Think customs would go for it?

Yeah, I decided to freeze it because it would be easier to carry and also because there isn't enough room in the fridge for two lasagnas.
I just had a slice of the pie. It's good, but I think the first pies with real pumpkins were better. I like my pumpkin pie cold, so I will put them in the fridge, maybe that will make them better. The first pies were sweeter. I think the sugar pumpkins made the difference. I did make the topping tastier though. I added a bit more butter and now it is so good. Overall it is still an excellent pie.
I'm definitely looking into buying more sugar pumpkins.

cool! I'm glad your mom liked it. :) She seems picky.
